2019 Activity Description:


Music Studio with iSchool of Music & Art
Kids will bring out their inner rock star by learning the basics of piano, drums, and guitar.  After they have mastered the basics they will rock out all together as a band!
(Ages 7+)
Keyboard (Length: 15 minutes)
Content: Learning placement of fingers around “Middle C” of keyboard. Students will learn about the “five fingers” on the keyboard starting with “Middle C.”
Drums (Length: 15 minutes)
Content: Students will play a combination of auxiliary percussion instruments, learning how to maintain a steady rhythm.
Guitar (Length: 15 minutes)
Content: Students will learn the six strings of the guitar and how to properly play simple notes.
Group Portion (Length: Final 15 minutes of total session)
Content: All three groups of break out sessions will meet together for the last 15 minutes of the total breakout session. Students will play basic rhythm as a group!
